Daily tests will be given at the end of class and will cover the material presented in the PREVIOUS class. Two COMPREHENSIVE makeups will be given at the time of the final exam and at least one grade will be dropped. No other makeups will be given... so please do not ask. Any student MISSING 8 QUIZZES WILL BE DROPPED FROM THE CLASS effective the date of the 8th miss. Final avg >= insures grade no worse than 90 A 80 B 70 C 60 D Unless explicitly stated otherwise, all work is expected to be your own individual, unaided (except by Dr.Westall or Ms. Spicer) effort.. When you are directed not to discuss the assignment, I consider this policy to have been violated EVEN IF YOU SIMPLY ASK ANOTHER STUDENT IF SHE OR HE HAS STARTED (OR FINISHED) THE ASSIGNMENT. The no discussion rule applies not only to other students in this class but to ALL HUMAN BEINGS except Dr. Westall and Ms. Spicer. Discussion with plants and non-human animals is permissible as long as no humans are within earshot. Violations of this policy will be subject to the penalties for academic dishonesty. CPSC 422 students will be allowed to work in two person teams on CERTAIN assignments. CPSC 622 students must work alone on all assignments and 622 assignments may have additional requirements. Late assignments will be SUBJECT TO A DEDUCTION OF N SQUARED where n is the number of days late. Assignments will be due no later than 11:59pm on the due date. Weekend days count in the deduction computation. The maximum deduction is 81 points. Disruptive/distracting behavior (including but not limited to talking and sleeping) is not permitted in class. Offenders may be asked to depart at the discretion of the instructor and/or LOSE THE PRIVILEGE OF TAKING THAT DAYS QUIZ. Arriving 5 minutes before the end of class to take the quiz is ACCEPTABLE (but not recommended).
