| What is UPE?
Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE) is an international honor society for Computing Science. It was founded in 1967 by six students at Texas A&M University. It is the first and only international honor society for the Computing Sciences. UPE is an independent organization which is recognized by the ACM (1967) and the IEEE-CS (1992) as an official honor society. |
| UPE at Clemson
The Alpha chapter of South Carolina was formed at Clemson in 1981. Membership in UPE signifies outstanding academic achievement and a commitment to enhance the computer science community. Members gain a privileged opportunity for enrichment in both academic and social aspects. |
