Joe Turner received the Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland in 1976. He is Professor Emeritus of Computer Science at Clemson University and has also served as Dean of the College of Information Systems at Zayed University in the United Arab Emirates. He has served as Vice President of the ACM (the Association for Computing Machinery), and currently serves as a representative member of the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) and as a member of the Computing Accreditation Commission (CAC) of ABET.
