Keith Sedgewick (December 1992): This is a group of Dwarf Alberta Spruce. There are 11 trees planted on a large piece of featherstone. One reason I like to use featherstone is because it is so light. I don't think I would like to lug this around if it was on a piece of granite, or some other heavy rock. I also did this last year in the advanced class, so it needs a lot of time to grow and I need a lot of time to look at it and shape it as it matures. I'm always a bit hesitant to just whack away, once whacked, always whacked!
