Keith Sedgewick (December 1992): This is the boxwood that I showed at the fall (1992) bonsai show. It is a triple trunk. You can sort'a see the type of soil that I use. Drains very fast. This started out as a double trunk, but last year in advanced class Ben said "you cannot have a branch turn up and be another tree unless it has a trunk." So -- I took and split the tree from the branch down to the base of the tree. I took a small saw and cut it all the way to the soil line. You can't see it very well in the picture but it made it look much better and didn't seem to hurt the tree.
