CONSULTING WORK

 

            1984 - present  - Foxfire Technologies Corporation

 

Design and implementation of real-time shop floor control applications for the apparel industry.  Other applications include raw materials inventory, real-time knitting room monitoring, real-time monitoring of dying/drying/finishing, cut tracking, bar code pack-out processing, finished goods inventory, real-time order picking and shipping.

 

            1983 - 1984 - ApparelSoft, Inc.

 

Design and implementation of software for the apparel industry using microcomputers.  Interfaced a variety of different peripheral devices to numerous types of computer equipment.

 

            1980 to 1983 -  Info-Data Business Systems

 

Development of microcomputer software systems in data communications, speech recognition and synthesis, business applications and hardware emulation.  Developed several software applications using Dbase II.

 

            1979 to 1985 - Q. S. Inc.

 

Design and implementation of an Accounts Receivable Database System serving multiple facilities in the State of New Mexico.

 

Design of a multiple agency payroll system for the State of Oklahoma using CICS and VSAM.

 

Implementation of an online multiple agency Criminal Justice Information System as part of a benchmark of a  Prime  Computer for the Government of Puerto Rico.

 

Design and implementation of an IMS DB/DC system for maintenance and reporting of Vital Records for the State of Wisconsin.

 

Design and implementation of a comprehensive Report Writer and Query System for use in general information retrieval on Prime computer hardware.

 

            1977 to 1979 - SERIES ONE INC.

 

Board member and analyst.  Assisted in the design and implementation of  an RPG-II compiler, Operator command language (OCL), and sort language for the IBM Series/1 computer.

This contract concerned the construction operation of a model apparel manufacturing  plant using the latest in advanced manufacturing technology.  A collection of short term research projects concerning automated manufacturing and real-time shop floor control systems was a substantial part of the total contract funding.

This contract consisted of the operation of a model apparel manufacturing  plant as well as the development and demonstration of research projects targeted solving problems of quick response, quality improvement and reduced costs of manufacturing and inventory management at defense apparel manufacturing plants, military depots and recruit induction centers.
