Assignments are to be submitted for grading electronically using the Clemson
Learning Environment (CLE) Turnin folder. For each assignment,
Create a folder with name asgn, where n is
the number of the assignment. (This can be done, for example, in the directory
where the files for the assignment are located.) For example, for Assignment
2, create a folder asg2.
Copy all files that are to be submitted for the assignment into the folder
that was created. (Note that you should copy, not move, the files if you
will later remove the asgn folder.) For example, if the only
file required for Assignment 2 is Asg21.java, put a copy of this file (to
be submitted for grading) into the asg2 folder.
The asgn folder created in the previous step is what you
are to put in your CLE Turnin folder. To access the CLE folders,
Run program z:nal from the run menu, or double-click on the NAL
icon if you have created one. (NAL stands for Network Applications Launcher.)
Double-click on one of the course icons in the NAL window (they look like
computer workstations). This will open a window containing folders for
each course in which you are registered. Double-click on the folder for
this course and section, and this will open a window containing your CLE
folders for this course.
Double-click on the Classwrk folder to open it, and you will see
that it contains Reviewed and Turnin folders. The Turnin
folder is for submitting work to be graded, and the Reviewed folder
is for returning work after it has been graded.
Double-click on the Turnin folder to open it. It will contain a
single folder labeled with your user id. This is your personal Turnin
folder where you put work that you submit for grading.
Put the asgn folder for the assignment (or a copy of it)
into your personal Turnin folder (the folder in the Turnin
folder that is labeled with your userid). (You can do this by dragging
the asgn folder that you created in step 2 into the folder
labeled with your user id.)
This completes the submission of your work for an assignment. If you later
decide that you want to submit another version, just repeat these steps
(preparing another asgn folder containing the files that you
want to submit, and putting it into your personal Turnin folder).
If you resubmit a later version of previously-submittted work, you should
send email to your instructor saying that you have done so if you want
to ensure that the later submission is the one that is graded.
All programs submitted for programming assignments must work on a Windows
95 environment that is compatible with the lab environment. Programs that
are developed on other systems should be tested on a lab or standard DCIT
PC before submission. Programs that do not work in the lab environment
will be considered to be incorrect.
