Opportunities for students who complete undergraduate and
advanced degrees in computing
are better than ever. Numerous reports and studies have found that
the demand for graduates with a degree in a computing field will be
among the highest of all majors for the foreseeable future.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts:
Computer scientists and database administrators are expected to be among the fastest growing occupations through 2014. Employment of these computer specialists is expected to grow much faster than the average for all occupations as organizations continue to adopt and integrate increasingly sophisticated technologies. Job increases will be driven by very rapid growth in computer systems design and related services, which is projected to be one of the fastest growing industries in the U.S. economy.
